RECYCLING UNLIMITED is a full service environmental issues management firm which focuses on recycling, waste reduction and litter prevention issues, and environmental education programs. A state registered vendor, Aletha and Kidsthe firm is certified under the NJ Department of Commerce and Economic Development for Small Business and Woman and Minority Business.

Founded in 1988, the firm is presently owned by Aletha Spang, former Administrator of the Office of Recycling for the Department of Environmental Protection. Aletha has been involved in the planning and development of recycling, waste reduction, and Clean Communities programs from the time of their inception. Nancy Paquette, a former Middlesex County recycling coordinator, joined the firm in 1993. She is recycling and Clean Communities coordinator for South Brunswick Township, part-time, and is a certified recycling professional. Mr. R.E. Cycle, Gary Mirasola, former educator and municipal coordinator, uses his amazing magic to provide recycling and litter prevention messages to children and adults alike. RECYCLING UNLIMITED works with computer specialists, artists and educators to provide clients with effective, innovative and cost-effective services.

HANDS-ON CLASSROOM WORKSHOPS PROMOTE WASTE PREVENTION

RECYCLING UNLIMITED offers unique classroom programs for students, 2nd - 6th grade, to teach about solid waste/recycling/composting/sourcereduction. Programs utilize presentation, critical thinking and math skills.

 

AS THE WORM TURNS:

Students create worm bins while they learn about composting and how it can reduce waste - a most popular program!

  

LUNCH WASTE, WHO NEEDS IT ?:

By calculating the weight of their lunch waste students learn the importance of reducing that waste. They also learn how to "Shop Smart" by comparing different methods of food preparation - its a wrap !

  

PACKAGING, IS IT A NECESSARY EVIL?:

Students learn about the need for packaging, types of packaging, and what makes good or bad packaging. They will design packaging for various products - very creative !

Mr. R.E. Cycle brings magic to the environment . . to your town, your school or your business ! Gary J. Mirasola, professional magician, has been entertaining and educating audiences for more than a decade. A former teacher and municipal recycling/clean communities coordinator, he now devotes his talents and professional expertise to performances which educate and inform the public. A back-up magician to the original Mr.R.E. Cycle, Gary has updated the act to deal with contemporary issues. His program includes source reduction, "buy recycled" and anti-litter messages.
